General Rules

1. Everyone is invited. The auction is open to paying and non-paying members. There is no fee or charge to play. Non-paying members are eligible to win prizes.

2. Auctioneers must show up 30 minutes prior to the start of auction to obtain a spot.

3. Number of auctioneers will vary. Auctioneer must be present.

4. Five images is the goal, there may be more or less depending on the time flow.

5. Images MUST be designed by the one who auctioned it off.

6. All images will be completed by the auctioneer within two weeks, and before the next auction.  Anyone who does not complete their auction blanks, will not be permitted to auction until they are finished with the wins from the prior auction.

7. Winning images should be posted on the discussion board where we will already have a thread open.  Personalization should be indicated, and whether it is going to be gifted or not. Auctioneers, please post completed images to the drop-off thread on the board and do not page them to the winner or send them by any other means, so we can be sure all images were completed as required.

8. No dupes will be called during an auction.  If anyone wishes to report a dupe, it should be by the same process as always – by email to graphics@the-pork.com or dupecheckers@the-pork.com.  It is NOT necessary to page nor message the auctioneer, Graphics Director, Grapics Team Member or any other member if you have a dupe and are "willing to share".

9. Anyone causing a problem will be banned from the room for the remainder of THAT auction.  This includes, but is not limited to harassment of the auctioneers, event hostesses, or members.  Remember, this is supposed to be for fun, let's keep it that way.

10. If you agree to be an auctioneer, you agree to make the icon for anyone who wins it fairly, whether it be for themselves or if it’s gifted.

11.The auction host/hostess and their heIper will not be permitted to bid.  All other event workers may bid.  No officiaI Pork volunteer can bid on any special prizes or prizes other than icons (i.e icon slots). Although the host/ hostess cannot bid, they may be gifted a win.

12. Any image won that is not posted on the winning thread for personalization, may be recycled and auctioned again at a future auction or used, gifted, etc.

13. Auctioneers should wait for the winners to post what they want on their images before creating them.

14. Auctioneers should grab a spot on the winners thread before the auction begins, and then post the images auctioned at end of auction.

15. Everyone must refrain from using an icon, except for the one auctioning their blank

16. Auctioneers must be able to receive reds from "Everyone" in the room settings in order to auction.

How to play

1. The auctioneer will post an image up for auction, with an already predetermined winning number between 1 and 200.  This is done by the auctioneer who will roll the dice in reds to the auction host/hostess for their winning number   [dice]200[/dice] just prior to posting their image for bids.  The image up for auction should be posted the same way we post our icons and not as Pic Posts because not everyone sees pic posts.

2. Players will post ONE number only as their bid in public. You may roll the dice for a random number.

3. Although the graphics team will make every effort to advise a bidder if their bid is a dupe, it is the responsibility of the bidder to post "rebid and a new number". In the event a duplicate bid is missed, the icon and any other awards for that round will go to the first bidder.

4. The auction hostess will announce the winning bid.

5. The auctioneer should wait until the host/hostes announces the winning bid before rolling the dice to the host/hostess in reds or posting their next image up for bid.

6. In the event everyone bids over, the lowest bid wins.

7. Each auctioneer should keep their turn to four minutes or less.  If the time is exceeded, the auction hostess will call time and post the winner. In order to keep the auction fIowing smoothIy, any auctioneer found to impede the fIow wiII be passed over and couId be removed from auctioning.

8. All auctioneers will remain until the end in case it is decided to have extra rounds, time permitting.

NOTE:  Using multiple accounts to bid will not be permitted and the member will be banned from THAT auction.
